Here I Lie
Thirsty skin dull as the barren desert
Your fingers gently searching for salvation
finding only blank holes for eyes
watch as they swell with life
a small oasis filled with salty tears
slowly streaming down my face
every pore quenching, feeding, searching,
for life
at last left engorged and satiated the truth begins to soak through
reaching far and deep within
you have pricked the core
Here I Lie
Half a body filled only with a thriving pool of
ignorance to appease my beating heart
