Ashes all around
Im sitting on the ground
Holding my head
Wishing I was dead
My heart is crying out
My mind is asking why
Why is it that I, of all people
Have been asked not to die
Everything is taken
Gone from my life
There is nothing left
Nothing worth it
But death
Yet I still live on
In pain and agony
Wondering what it is
That you seem to see
You said I am your son
You are the holy one
And I was protected
Until noon, or was it one?
Then it was gone
in the blink of just one eye
My heart and its very song
Withered and died

Ashes all around
Im sitting on the ground
Holding my head
Wishing I was dead
Crying out your name
Feeling mortal shame
But curse your name I wont
You are the water
I am the boat
Without you I am not
You are my Father
I am your son
Tell me O my God
What it is that I have done
