Lost in Smoke

Smoking itself is a summary to death...

I am forlorn-ed by
The collapse of my relation
Due to smoking.
Strangers we met
And knitted a relation
That smoking killed preordained.
We promised both:
I to quit, she to forgive,
But uncertainty prevailed.
Relations are hard to keep,
When the days of mistrust
Hung over, miss bond.
We scuffled, we laughed,
We brawled even
After breaking anger bereaved.
Why did we stay then,
What in our loves suffering,
We messed up too.
What glued our relation
Was a sick level of hate
We each had for self.
I seek forgiveness,
I tortured her
More than she tortured me.
Even staying in touch,
Scared to be forlorn,
I made her go.
I had lonely time,
But it is more lonely
Without her nearby.
She stayed to gather
Me with my smoking,
And I with no self confidence.
And there is guilt too,
If I'm not there to love her,
I have broken my vows.
I say I love her,
I just loved a cigarette more,
And I love me not.
Who needs the treatment:
One who cannot quit,
Or who love me.
She let me had a chance,
Maybe if I stop smoking,
She will come back again.
Or if I don't stop
She will find the love within,
To do the right thing.
Relations of Addicts,
Even if not beaten or battered,
Still suffer inside.
