I remember your saccharine smleThe look in your eyesSo tender in touchAnd so soft and wiseAnd your heart so brokenThat slow-motion rainStill so absurdly beautifulAs you suffered that painAnd that summer sunsetThe night falling so sweetAnd those milky moonlit puddlesThat lined your quiet streetRemember the dotted white rose?That first surprise?And the upside-down rainbowThat smiled in the skies?I was no heroBut worthy of ElysianAnd my heart beat trueFor the purest reasonSuch is fateThat the mighty fallAnd we were the victimOf the beautiful flawI said foreverStill true, at leastNo broken heartYou have your piece
