The Exasperated Maiden

Poetry By: Wayward Troubadour
Poetry

A third episode in my series of silly poems about the black knight and the hero, this poem is from the maiden's point of view.

Sigh, I sit here

Totally bound

As these fools

Banter around

This black knight

Haughty in stance

With horrible dragon

And wicked lance

With daring bravado

Such a dashing face!

But I have known

Much nicer snakes

And the hero

With his humble steed

His silver armor

Leaping to my need

Words so eloquent

As I start to sob

"Hurry you hero!

And finish the job!"

Ugh these boys!

With a lot to say!

Hurry up now,

I've been waiting all day!

Boldy the dragon

Just flies away

I can't take this

I can't stay

So as the boys

Bicker and yell

I'll look for a new prince

In the next dell!
