Is That What Love Is?

Poetry By: Werewulf14

DO. NOT. LAUGH. SAM. This is, once again, something i wrote again for english. It was supposed to be a love or hate poem. The example was a poem that didn't rhyme. I normally don't like those types of poems, but This one was pretty good. It was called, "Tonight i can write". I tried again and agian, but no matter how i twisted or contorted the words they seemed, well, stupid. So instead of riding the flow of ryhming like i normally do, I just let rythym and beat lead me where i was going. And voila. My olny non-ryhming poem in the history of my career. And even though I have Dr. Seuss Syndrome, this wasn't TOO painful. So after a short deliberation, I thought, 'oh, what the hell, why not?"
And also, i normally don't write romance, and this is based on no personal experiances. (I couldn't find a date to save my life) This poem is based entirely on what i've gathered from books and movies. :P And so, I humbly present, my first, last, and only non-ryhming poem.

A silent night, warm and dark, with stars, pricks

of light, swirled across the sky. The still air,

moving not a leaf, nor a blade of grass. Wonderful silence,

yet hearing everything, so heavy you fell it in your bones, your

heart, and it warms you from the inside out.

Is that what love is?

A blazing day, sun in the sky and fire on the ground,

burning everywhere, wild, out-of-control.

Rushing though you viens like fire, like a drug,

Burning, scorching, running adreneline

Your soul and heart running with the raging wildfire.

Is that what love is?

Or like cotton candy, sweet, fluffy and soft,

All pink and fuzzy and airheaded,

like breathing helium, yet dissolveing in your mouth and

dissapearing as easy as it came

Is that what love is?

Or is it painful and aching, like broken bones,

Stinging like a cut with peroxide on it

making it better but hurting at the same time,

like stitches and band-aids.

Is that what love is? I don't know.

Why ask me?
