A hurricane tears my world apart
A whirlwind in the form of you
One of the things I’ve found you to be good at
Is not telling me the truth
Another is your formidable gift of hurting me so easily
Just as effortlessly as you have the power to sweep me off my feet
I want to come closer but simultaneously I want to retreat
Confusion in its most basic form is what I feel
Wish you could let me know the deal
I want to feel your love for real
Instead of feeling like that extra wheel
Beginning to feel like there is no end to the torment
I would just like you, for once, to sort it
I want to understand why you won’t confront me
And at the same time, not letting me leave
You can’t have it both ways
Holding me by a thread, pulling me back as you please
And letting me go when you don’t need me
Either make your own decision
Or watch me make it for you and regret not thinking with precision
