Monday Musings Dressed Up as Haiku
Shoulder hurts, feet ache
Labor intensive workout
Hauling groceries
Smells are fresh and bright
Surface shines and glass reflects
Cleaning house is good
This food disappoints
Bread stale, butter hard, no jam
Like old grievances
Layers shift and morph
A new circus act sets up
Who is this person?
Searching looks don’t help
Walking backwards, trip and fall
Still can’t see myself
If I am a piece
And you are a piece as well
Where is the game board?
Lingering after?
Longing after what once was?
That’s Lost Cause-itis
