she sometimes dreams
of salvation.
and dreams
give her
self-deception,
delusion she seeks
in her desperate struggle
against the inevitable
pleas
she pleas

by no means.

the sweet drops of saliva
melt the fierce heat.
dissolubility of our reality
consumes and engrosses her,
unites and dismembers her,
ignoring sincerity,
frankness, integrity
fading and crushing
in familiarity -
fear entangles reason and sanity,
losing the passion
in her frayed vanity*
