the life of a rose is short but to the rose its a life time

I saw a rose within the thorns,
a wild rose, untamed,
dancing to the tune of nature.
Petals with a satin sheen display,
the glory to a new found day.

Transfixed by it's beauty I stood,
taking in it's natural fragrance,
admiring it's strength and ability.
Surviving amongst the thorns,
through out it's span of life,
UN-scarred by it's surroundings.
