In This Life Time

Poetry By: willow brook
Poetry

They look away from each others gaze
embarrassed by the moment
Then went their separate ways.

Their eyes met, for the first time

Memories, of a past life

A chain of events

Moments in another time

Another life

Not understanding

yet knowing

A longing never felt before,
in this lifetime.

Fear of the unknown

Confusion, from the reality of this life

They look away from each others gaze
embarrassed by the moment
Then went their separate ways.

This lifetime wasn't theirs to have

not together

not this time

For she was very old
and had little time left to live

and he was very young
and had so much more to give.
