We are the living beings of the land
the earth beneath us trembles
in what’s called a state of shock
the burden of pollution.
We are the living beings of the land
the earth screams out in pain
as the acids of man-kind eat at its center
its core,its beginnings.
We are the living beings of the land
we still bury our rubbish within you
we still rip from your soul your growing creations.
We are the living beings of the air
the clouds above are heavy with the burden of acid rain
The side-effects of man-kinds creations.
We are the living beings of the air.
the oxygen we breathe is polluted by a way of
conditioned living among our nations.
We are the living beings of the waters.
the seas try to swallow the toxic waist,
of modern society, which is destroying the life beneath.
We are the living beings of the waters.
we take what you create for our own needs.
even the growth within you is becoming known as extinct.
Yes, we are the living beings of the land!-Written by Robyn Brown
