Summer's Perk

Throwing clothing into a well known bag,
With my glee hard to keep at bay!
After an hour, I toss in the rag,
"Well, I'm done", I say,
And upon my bed I lay
Until we are all ready to leave.
When we are, we all jump in the Mustang;
We can't wait for what the weekend will bring.
We turn the music up till it rang
And roll down the windows and sing
With our hair blowing
And not a care in the world.
Looking out at the bright shining sun,
I think of all the trees
And swimming and sand and fun.
I think of all that I will again see
And how I will run to the lake happy and free
With my best friend right behind.
I love my cabin more than anything
For I dont have to worry there
About what my future will bring.
There, the weaher is always fair,
And the waves lull me with care.....
Just another Summer's perk.
