The Gift

What makes me wake up in the morn, what makes the sun to glow
What makes me love your gentle smile, Oh this I do not know
It is my fate to love you dear, and love you all my life
It is my wish to care for you, and keep you safe from strife
Those tiny hands and perfect nails, God made you just for me
For in my dreams in dead of night, it’s only you I see
Never have I loved so much, as darling I love thee
For you are now my baby girl, for all the world to see
