Give me food

Have you noticed there's two of you

And how there's nothing you can do

Why were you made this way

That you must eat, yes all the day

Yes the things you really like

Are just the things that cause you strife

You pick at this and think your good

But all you want is proper food

Say tempt me not with ample plate

For tis my weight that's in a state

But it's not you' you know what's right

Tis your evil other with the appetite

Hello Xanado: I truly enjoyed your poem, and it is very well written. I wish I could say "I've been there", but really, I still am. I am still trying to lose the weight, that is... Thank you very much.

Well it came late in life for me, only when I started on insulin for Diabetes. I seem to have evolved from a slim trim man to what apears to be an egg on legs. Oh well you have to laugh
