Ash and Smoke

Poetry By: xBlackInkx

A poem that I wrote quite a while ago about the fire storm (in Australia) last summer (AKA Black Saturday), it would be great if I could get some feedback.

The sky was filled with ash and smoke,

Making me cough, making me choke,

All above was grey and dark,

Falling embers and the occasional spar

Heated wind blew all around,

Swaying the trees, scorching the ground,

Scarlet sun set, bringing the night,

The mountains glowed with firelight,

The blood red moon shone overhead,

Lighting the sky, like molten lead,

Flickering flames with their crackling laugh,

ame, destroying all in their path.
