Succession for Recovery

Poetry By: xjamesdavisx

This is in tribute too Lance Armstrong... based on success meaning "no" obstacle is to hard to climb even when surgery holds you down, the only rightful thing to do is get back up and try again I'm righting it in first person !!

Success of Recovery

I feel like a winner,
I've lived through it all
my success is priceless
but surgery was a brawl.

I've climbed to the peak
a grand seventh time:
thriving for every chance
that challenge to seek.

I'm a U.S. Native
quite sure you heard of me
road racing is my hobby
success is what I see

I have fallen down,
and been through it all
it's like teaching a baby
for the first time to crawl

Pacing down the road,
I feel like a bird
so free and alive
but yet so far from the herd.

I'm looking cautious,
with a glancy glare
as challengers await
I stand of dire aware.

Reporters give me hype
they come on steady time
it's like an everyday cycle
that brings a distant rhyme

Be of aware I'm getting beat down
these legs have taken hits

my heart still got the passion
I favor this sport, for all in the end
my fans were my glory to king my court
