Spooky House

Ready to get some treats
I pushed and the gates creaked open
The fog rolled in
I could tell all the fun was about to begin
The tombstones stood
Nowhere close to aligned
This was the perfect time
The trees were hunched
Ready to devour me for lunch
But the image never seemed so magnificent
And I loved the view
It seemed as if
The opening of the gates was the cue
A bat flew swerved over the moon
Must have been dying to get out since noon
And the house was lustrous
The essence was rare
Oh, how I wish you could have been there
Then there was a feeling of attraction
I was drawn and taken
I was quite shaken
Should an abandon house be this attractive
Or is my imagination being active?
I walked to the house
And knock on the door
There was someone inside
I thought great someone to give me a snack
But instead, things took a twist
She suddenly disappeared
With the turn of her wrist
She spun around in a cloud of fog
And shrieked so loud it pierced my ears
I won’t forget that in the up coming years
