After a while we all try to transform our loved ones into an image of ourselves.

You drowned me with your love

Pulled me beneath the surface and watched me suffocate

Watched my lungs fill beyond capacity

Droplets spilling out of my mouth

Your gluttony has killed me

You stuffed your heart with my love

Gnawing away what I use to be

Till I was only a bony skeleton

And now you try to paint my love

Try to capture the essence of me on canvass

The ME you always wanted

Always craved for secretly

Just another hollow painting

Awaiting the master's brush for eternal life

A selfportrait of me

Done by you
