Dear Grandma,

Poetry By: XxStepByStepxX

My grandma doesn't like some things I do, and likes to act as if she's my mom.... well here's my thoughts on that.

Dear Grandma,

Since birth,

you always were there.

You watched over me,

while my mother wasn't there.

I moved an hour away,

and I know that brought you despair.

Since my mom's not here now,

my mother you've more become.

Though I really love you,

there's things to be understood....

You are like a second mother,

but my mother you are not!

Please stop pressuring me,

to do the things you believe;

if I want to go to church,

I will on my account.

I'm not the same child,

as was in the cradle;

I'm older and stronger,

I have a voice to do my will.

So please treat me like I am,

put more separation in your plan.

Stop trying to controll,

the things in wich I am,

I'm different and my own,

you really must understand.

Dear Grandma,

I'm going to be who I am.
