///The Long Road Ahead///

Poetry By: YankeesFan68

My third poem ever. It's about how life is a long road. You always keep going. And you always have to make choices at some point.

The cool rain

Falls from the sky.

All of my pain

Is coming back to play.

I am getting very weak.

I am getting very tired.

Although my goals are what I seek,

I still glance behind me.

I remember to keep a level head,

And always keep moving.

There's a long road ahead,

So I must keep going.

As the road splits two different ways,

I momentarily cease my walk.

Down one road I see the Sun's bright rays.

Down the other I see carnage and sin.

Down the promising road is a gate,

Blocking my way in.

And the chaotic road awaits,

Trying to draw me in.

Which road should be followed?

Should you work hard and go far?

Or be lazy and become hollow?

Everyone has to face this question.

But the part that matters is the answer you choose.
