Came a long way from home, searching for the light

But the place I had hoped would set me free was still nowhere in sight

My horse was now tired from the long journey we have had,

It couldn't bear me no more, so it bid me goodbye

It was ages since the last time I saw that glimmer of light,

And I had been riding in its direction incessantly day and night

But now the cold was harsh, and I was completely on my own

With my stallion gone, there was nowhere I could go

Caught amidst doubts, my spirit started to shake

I looked for a miracle, but everything seemed to fade

I dropped to the ground, there was no hope left now

Nothing to hold onto, No one to reach out for

I looked towards the sky, started to scream my lungs out

"Why hast thou forsaken me oh good lord?"

And like a miracle the grass was green, the sky radiant again

There was a subtle joy in the air, the flowers blooming everywhere

It all seemed as in a dream, but I just wasn't dreaming

The reality was too good to be true, so I stopped believing

But then there was my guarding angel, descending from the skies

Her eyes looking right into in my shallow core, the place where I had become so obscure

And slowly she came to me, taking me into her warm embrace

Mystified by her charm, I began to believe in life again

I could finally break those shackles bound to me, and I realized then

I have been a prisoner of my own self, all I needed was a touch of the heavens to be free again!
