The Last Rhyme

Poetry By: Yusufalam

It's about the love of a poet. Thanks to my friends on booksie circle, they inspired me for this piece!

He could never be what she desired and longed for
She was all he had ever wanted in life
He gave away everything he had and even more
Her greed was always left unsatisfied
He never saw what was coming to him
She always had her eyes open wide
Her departure left him in pain, excruciating
She now had another man in her life
He was on the verge of giving in
She was never a part of the fight
Alas, he died all alone in the mountains
She didn't hear even his last rhyme
His soul was carried to the skies on the wings of angels
For it was a song that left the entire valley mesmerised!
