I Am Contradiction, I Am Similarity

Poetry By: zadudet1

What happens when your nature fights you nurture? You are filled with contradictory beliefs and nothing feels right anymore.

I long for solitude, I yearn for company
I'm crushed in misery, I dance with joy
I am ruthless, I always show mercy
The night fills my soul, I live for the day
My pain is unbearable, I am numb to all
Emotions evade me, I feel everything
I'm blind and deaf, I hear and see all
I cannot awaken, sleep won't come
I am a demon, I am an angel
Born of good, raised in evil
What am I, what have I become
I am contraction, I am similarity
