Broken by a Touch

Poetry By: ZAE

The barrier of a heart - surpassed with a single touch

You touched it

How did you break my wall down

It's always been there

Now it's gone

Just like you

Even though you stand just a little out side of reach

I see you take a step

As you stand close

But your foot doesn't come down

It hesitates in mid air

Hanging as if lost

You had no right to do that

You had made my heart skip a beat

For a second you had stolen my hope

Making me believe in it once more

But yet you stay frozen in mid air
