MOTHER!!!
by: Zilungile Soboyise
I call upon you
As you lied in that coffin
Icould feel its coldness
It diffusses its vapour
And i knew that wasnt an honour
Mother i hated that coffin
It imbedded onto your body like a muffin
As it sticks to its baking tray
I wanted to cry
Embracing you was my wish
Yet the coffin was heartless as a witch
You were not comfortable
You needed my rescue but i was unable
When i glanced at you
Mama! i wanted you to smile
Yet it stopped your pulse rate
Only the soul and spirit knew your smile
My eyes couldnt regulate its tears
My life was teared apart
And before i knew it you were gone
I was left alone
Today Tonight
I call upon you mother
My heart long for your Joy
your presence is miles away
My eyes seek for your smile
And myvoice keep calling upon you
By saying 'MOTHER I CALL UPON YOU'
