Make ourselves green
Zohara Ummey Hassan
Have you nothing to say me
Or have I anything to say you?
The bed which you sit still bears
The testimony of our love past
The pale window pane recalls
The passages of time falls.
Today we have nothing to count
Or have the eagerness to home bound!
Let’s have to leave this dark cave
And have a walk together
Share the pale lamppost light
Where the brittle flies drink lights!
Let’s have to leave this dark cave
And have a walk together
Go at the side of the lake waterless
Where the pale light peeps like an old beggar!
Let’s have to leave this dark cave
And have a walk together
Shares the pale light and sleepy wind
And with their simplest touch make ourselves green!
Make ourselves green
Zohara Ummey Hassan
Have you nothing to say me
Or have I anything to say you?
The bed which you sit still bears
The testimony of our love past
The pale window pane recalls
The passages of time falls.
Today we have nothing to count
Or have the eagerness to home bound!
Let’s have to leave this dark cave
And have a walk together
Share the pale lamppost light
Where the brittle flies drink lights!
Let’s have to leave this dark cave
And have a walk together
Go at the side of the lake waterless
Where the pale light peeps like an old beggar!
Let’s have to leave this dark cave
And have a walk together
Shares the pale light and sleepy wind
And with their simplest touch make ourselves green!
