I am a single mom with two huge sons who started life much smaller and have now outrun me.  I live in Northern California and have been shaped and have shaped myself by various cultural trends and influences. Although I'm a baby boomer, I have not yet been successful at grasping what it means to be an adult, which is probably a good thing or I'd be frightened of this recession!  I am stubbornly resisting all attempts by the media to scare me shitless.

I have an abiding faith in God and a deep love for the creatures of God's imagination, especially my friends, family, my sig-o and my artist and writing friends. 

I think having a community in which to write safely and give and receive constructive feedback sounds wonderful.  By doing it online I'm not limited to those I can physically connect with, and that's exciting to me.
