For those who've tried too hard to please the wrong one....

I hope to reach out to those who've ever suffered chronic physical pain, oppression, gone through dramatic transition in life, or just experienced the toll life takes on your soul sometimes. I like to believe that I have a pretty creative imagination, and a sensitive, emotional understanding, and I feel that my mind is unlimited in projecting my thoughts whether directly or indirectly, often exposing truths, as well as fueling fantasies that are obviously unobtainable, yet enjoyable to dive into occasionally. So to anyone who wishes to read any of my poetry, I hope you will be able to connect with it one way or another and please feel free to comment on any of my words spoken. Thank you.
If anyone wants to contact me via e-mail, I have created an alternate address specifically for my fellow booksians...anytime you wanna ask me anything, or just talk, here it is: supersoniconyx@yahoo.com
About Me:
Frozen by the Unfathomable Cruelty of Man
-10/16/09 (written by meg)

Frozen within the realms of hollowed time,
Decayed, we've become, behind the glass emotion,
Broken by those who forsake all forgiveness,
Yet, somehow, unsinking, within this vast ocean,
Of unfathomable reality versus mere fantasy,
We will break the ice with our committed devotion...
The Fact Remains

'a trigger on a loaded gun...forgive me, for I've decayed the sun...forever lifeless, against the blackened horizon...being weathered by these ashes, within this endless abyss of boredom...' -*m*

My name is Meg, I just turned 28 years old(but I still feel "forever 21" in my mind and heart). I live in Texas...I have been a single mom to a three-year-old daughter, named Tori Bethany(from a previous abusive relationship) until recently; I have fallen in love with someone, whom I have known for nearly a decade, and now we are married. He is my best friend in the whole world.....................................
Update: As of July 24th, 2009-I am now married to Andy, my new husband, my best friend, my lover...
Here's a link to his booksie address: http://www.booksie.com/nightwisher

Lovers' Revival
-10/17/09 (written by meg)
Between the tainted love,
and all the bitter hatred,
and the bleeding promises,
that were never really stated,
you remained a lonely soul,
loathed by yourself, tormented,
until my own torn heart revived,
what was once proclaimed dead...

I have been living with a disability called Interstitial Cystitis, for approximately 4 years now. I probably have a hormonal imbalance, in fact, I know I do, and I might be going through early menoupause....I will get test results soon. IC a disease most like Pelvic Floor Dysfunction. I also struggle with severe Fibromyalgia, which I have had at least since I was diagnosed with it at the age of 12. Every day is a struggle, sometimes being a "nightmare", since I do not usually get adequate sleep, due to the chronic pain. Although I do take painkillers, I have a very high tolerance, so sometimes they don't even work. I hate being "dependent" upon the meds, but I do what I have to do. I have an article written, if you want to know more about these health issues I've mentioned. Anyway, stumbling upon Booksie about a 2 and a half years ago is one of the best things that I could have come across, cuz now I have found my niche. I already have been writing poetry for many years, so this website has allowed me more access to express my creative side, when I need to. Plus I have made some really nice acquaintences on here, who share the same passion for writing, like I do, and who are supportive of me due to my illnesses... Most of my poetry is just a part of my creative side, but I do express my physical and emotional anguish from time to time through writing, since it is a sense of therapy for me. A lot of my poetry falls into styles such as melancholy, dark(gothic), emo(tional), or psychedelic-ISH
I absolutely love music, a little of everything, but especially alternative, psychedelic, industrial, emo/hardcore, epic metal, and rock and roll, in general...without music, life would be boring...World history, arts, and science capture my interests...My favorite artists include Salvador Dali, Vincent Van Gogh, and Andy Warhol...I also like some of the poetic writings and short stories of author, Poe...I am not a morning person...I have insomnia...I am absolutely addicted to coffee, dark chocolate, cosmetics(particularly eyeliner), vintage clothing, jackets and blazers, jewelry, music, and this website...the good stuff...here's something entertaining: I am a descendent of the historical figure, Oliver Cromwell (not exactly proud of it, but it's still cool to say so)...
Me, personally: I have green eyes and jet black hair, I am tall, pale, and really thin...I'm of english, irish, scottish, dutch, and german descent, with a touch of cherokee indian..
My fave colors (and mostly to wear) are: black, red, gray, and blue mainly, but I also like orange, burgundy, army green, pink, teal, and plum
Ha!, guess what?, I can pass for a 19-year old, sometimes( since losing a lot of weight). Though I have been told that I look 30(that's the lines on my face)...I took the profile pic of me down, and recently put up an image(been going through stress, so I'm changing things up)...
Some of my fave bands/musicians in general and at the moment: AFI, Tori Amos, Cruxshadows, Paramore, Flyleaf, Oasis, Our Lady Peace, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, The Doors, The Beatles, Bush, Smashing Pumpkins, Depeche Mode, and I'm sure there's more, but it doesn't really matter...

My fave movies of all time: Across the Universe, Donnie Darko('why are you wearing that stupid man-suit?') Napoleon Dynamite('hey, tina, you fat lard, come get some dinner!'), Stranger Than Fiction, The Count of Monte Cristo...
...meh
The meaning behind my choice pen-name, RaisinGirl:
'The cereal bowl is used as a metaphor for divisions among women. The "Cornflake Girls" are close-minded while the "Raisin Girls" are open to new ideas.' (I got this from a well-known song by the independent musician Tori Amos, and well, the song is "Cornflake Girl"...) 'This song speaks for every girl that was ever "unpopular" in high school and instead of letting it defeat you, turn it into your strength.'
