Time for God

Many of us have a hard time to sit down on our knees or take a few minutes and sit down to pray to God. We figure that we have too many things going around in our life to make time for God.  We find it hard to set some quiet time for our creator.

Christians today find time to go to the movies, to the theatres, go to work, eat and even sleep but we just can’t find ourselves early at church on Sunday or Saturday afternoon.

We want God to heal us, bring us good fortunate but sometimes we don’t even tell God thank you for healing us. Luke 18:43 “Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus, praising God. When all the people saw it, they also praised God”. This passage in the bible talks about a blind man who after he was healed by Jesus praised him so why is it so hard for us to do the same thing?

Many of us believers only have time for God on Sunday mornings, sometimes maybe a bible study and that’s it. We don’t even go and read the bible to check out what the pastor or preacher preached at church. Christians need to make time for God because God made times for us. It was told in the bible even the angels in heaven made time to praise and worship God. Luke 2:13  “Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying” if the angels up in heaven can find time for God so can you and I.

Do we find time to pray to God, no most of us   Christians do not we say that there is not enough time in the day to pray. What we fail to realize is that prayer is talking to God and asking him for help. Prayer is where God might send an answer to whatever you asked him, it can unblock the evil spirits that Satan has sent to deter you. Prayers can mea n life or death. Prayer is everything. Luke 6:12  “One of those days Jesus went out to a mountainside to pray, and spent the night praying to God”. Even Jesus prayed to his heavenly father. Sometimes when you are suck in a situation  you pray to God for help like  Daniel did  in Daniel 6:11   “Then these men went as a group and found Daniel praying and asking God for help”.

We are so caught up in our daily and busy lives that we always forget God, we forget to pray to him, praise him, spend some quality quiet time with him and sometimes we forget to read the word.  How would we feel if God decided to not heal us, not answer our prayers, and not make the rain fall or the sun shine? How would we feel in he forgot us everyday except that Sunday or Saturday morning we in church. What if God decide not to talk us at all except on certain holy days then how would we feel about him?

It feels so sad that we only talk to Him in time of our need. Perhaps, we're too occupied with material things that we fear commitment to God's plan for us. We need sometime to reflect and meditate. Ask God's guidance through prayer. Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us, Princess. May this touch everyone's heart. Godbless! :-)

thank you so much

I am surprised as to why people have not read this beautiful article and why is this not in TOP 20.
This is so good.

U know what Princess....one Hindu poet who had devoted his life in writing poems for GOD wrote that "We pary to GOD when u need HIM...if we will pray to HIM everyday even when we don't want anything, then HE will take care of all our needs."

This article reminded me of that great poet named "KABIR"

This holds true for hindus as well. they do not have time to light a candle and read "Bhagvatha Gita'
and bow before GOD when they have a list of demands

so sad..where is the world heading and what r we teaching our kids?
Ur kids will be so lucky princess

As i read this, i remember the time when i was in college. Everything was new to me. The demand of college life was too much that nothing matters anymore to me, not even God, except studying so i can get good result. When i look back to those time, i felt sad because i had neglected God who had given all of those blessings to me. This article is genuinely inspiring. Keep it up, Princess :)
