Psalm 37 is in a way just speaking to the children of the lord.  The Psalm uses the words trust and faith a lot through out the chapter.  Trust that the lord is on your side and have faith that the lord will not forsake you.  Psalm 37: 1-3 lets us know that we should not worry about the "evil-doers" or to be envious of the workers of iniquity.  But rather trust in the Lord and do what God would do which is good.  In the end the evil-doers and the workers of iniquity will be cut off from God and "wither like a weed", but for those who have chosen to follow the word of God will dwell in the land of their father the lord god.

     Psalm 37:5 has helped me alot in the last few days.  I will state from the bible:

"Delight yourself also in the lord, and the lord will give you the desires of your heart."   I am not saying that if you follow gods word and do as he would that the Lord is going to put a brand new Mustang in your driveway.  What this means is that you make yourself happy by doing what God sees  as good and righteous and he will bring good things onto you.  Weather it is bringing you happiness or safety or even a sane mind.  I know as well as you do that thses are the things that we want more than anything.

     There are lots of good things in this Psalm and I will not be able to touch on them all but I will mention the things that I feel people need to hear.  Psalms 37:19 is another good one that although hasn't really helped me but will come in handy.  it says that the christian should not be ashamed in evil times but rather stand up for what they know to be right (the Lords word.)  If you do this then in times of "famine" or in hard times, the christian will be satisfied and taken care of the hands of the Lord.

The best versus of Psalms 37 are the last two.  Versus 39 and 40.

     39. But the salvation of the righteous is the Lord: he is their strength in the time of trouble.

     40. and the Lord shall help them, and deliver them: he shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, Because they trust in the Lord.

If you remember to have Faith in the Lord then you will be fine.  The lord is your father and he loves you and Will not forsake you.  It doesn't mean you will never go throw hard ships in your life but when you do go through them the Lord will be standing right beside you holding out his hand asking for you to give him your problems.  Having Faith in the lord, means to believe in the lord that he will take care of you.  He does this because he loves you.  So give him your troubles you do not have to go through them with out the Lords help.  Thats what he is there for.  Just remember he wants your love in return.
