It always makes me laugh when I see people posting forwards of: "I love Jesus. Post this as your status if you do too. Remember God says: 'If you deny me in front of your friends/ peers, I will deny you on judgement day. Repost this to show you don't deny him." First of all, not posting "I love Jesus," on Facebook doesn't count as denying God, it's just called not posting it on facebook. No one asked me if I loved Jesus or not, if someone actually asked me whether I did , I would say yes. Therefore, who are they to judge whether I l would/am denying him or not? God is the only perfect judge. You can't call me a "bad Christian", or tell me I'm denying him for not posting "I love Jesus" as my status. Secondly, These words aren't even of those who re-post them. It's not from the heart. Once in a while I just wish they would write something themselves that's heartfelt (even if it sucks or doesn't make sense), not something that's been re-posted a billion times. And lastly, I think it makes everyone who doesn't re-post it feel bad. It gets worse everyday. Before, it was just: "Repost this if you love God! Don't deny him." But now, I've seen more than a few that literally say: "If you love God, re-post this, if you love the devil, keep scrolling" and "Remember, God knows you saw this, and will be angry if you don't re-post this." It makes me so angry. But then again, it's not like my opinion is going to change anything.
