If the moon whisks us away

and the shadows begin to play,

would the search for evermore

be cast from minds that bore?

would we take forever more

and make it now?

Not a dream, but in the hearts that scream,

and let them scream:

'FOREVER MORE BE NOW!'

!

Had forever been a dream,

or had the dream been evermore?

I'll dream no more!

alt

Walk with me until

the sun breaks away from us

and the dusty night would quiver

lest we shed our coats

and we are free,

and the destined screams of evermore

be awakened from their core

we search no more!

!

Should the pull of walks across time

be echoed back and forth,

I would continue to dream with you

on a shore that has no meaning

just two hearts kept in beating

a dream that goes on sleeping,

in a mind forever weeping.

~

Be awake to call the shadows;

'come play with me today'

we would sing away the hours

and display their creeping ways.

~

I am not the dream but the one who keeps on dreaming

~

yes well I'm not quite sure that it is understandable.
maybe I should go over it. Thankyou though Pratibha, and oh I think when I metioned that Pratibha was queen in India I meant to say President. Yes Indias first women President!
I did not know that. and here too in america we will have either our first woman or our first black President.
we are doing pretty good :-D have a very nice night Pratibha

Very beautiful Katie. Inspiring. I found two typos for you: "be awakened from thier (their) core", and "for today I am affraid (afraid)".... Yeah, leave it to me to find flaws! Anyway, you get two thumbs up for the poem.

oh-no I am getting worse with age LOL LOL!!!
well thankx so much, and how have you been???
Hope your doing great! :-D
see you later.............. :)

I'm still trying to figure out what it's trying to tell me. I mean, it's singing this beautiful song, but it's almost like an opera. I probably need to listen to a couple more times to grasp it. I think I'll print it out and read it a few more times. Great job, though I feel like I have yet to enjoy the full reading experience :]

LOL! oh-no! yes I knew it would be like this.
well ok here goes, and do you know what? I am so terrible at trying to explain things LOL!!! so actually I'm just going to make it short (I hope) LOL!
well, it speaks of the every day dream that we are not aware of: the continuous dream of nonreality. of yesterday, tommorow or evermore? I tend to the beliefs in the eastern philosophys, 'the awakening of kundalini' and such.
and into higher states of connection with what in our ego minds can not comprehend. I am not at all saying that I am there Oh-No LOL!!!
but none the less I read alot, meditate alot and in MY dream, I hope that someday I will be there, and so do you see I too am dreaming as we all are because I can not see that I already am. oh no Cathy, this was not short at all!!! LOL! AND I don't know if I even made and kind a sense LOL!!!
HAHAHA Maybe I am dreaming? LOL!
Thankx Cathy, well you got me giggeling now so that's good.
have a nice fun day :-D ~katie

Another beauty... "I am not the dream but the one who keeps on dreaming"... a magical phrase!!
Katie, Here's another little grammatical 'thingy' you might want to correct before you print it out for someone.
"Lest we shed 'OUR' coats rather than 'are'"

*****I'll keep dreaming along with you!!!!

You know, I re-read this again this morning. It has quite a rhythm to it, a bit of a beat, ya know? Almost sing-song like. It also a bit reminded me of Edgar Allan Poe's "The Raven", with the "more" and "nevermore", etc... But that's a good thing, because he's one of my all-time favorite writers!
Have a great day today!

Hey, Thankx :D
Edgar Allen, such a compliment
funny you should mention sing-song, for some reason that's how it comes lately, songs have just been pulling the inspiration right out of me LOLOLOL!!!!!
well did you notice I changed it? Maybe not more understandable but I think a person can get from it what they wish. hahaha Thankx MA hope you have a nice night
