MY CIVIL WAR WITHIN

Since the time of Abraham, man has been fighting against one another;

Since the time of Adam, man has sought the life of his very own brother.

From the beginning, it's been war between men, and continued to this very day;

Men will always be fighting each other, for it seems they know no other way.

Now if men would seek out the true source of why the world is at war;

Then men would find out that Satan is the source of ware between men, of this I'm sure.

Men are forever in battle about something, be it for money, woman, land or pride;

My battle does not lay with men, but with Satan, and it's fought deep down inside.

It is my inner most being that he attacks, continuously putting me to the test;

My spirit is constantly at war with Satan, and my soul is never at rest.

Day and night I do battle with Satan; he attacks me with unyielding persistence;

Only YAHSHUA to help me, for only HE can fight, my civil war within.

Just because your body has been cleansed from its chemical dependency, that doesn't mean the war you were fighting against addiction is over.  Don't even ponder upon that thought for one second because now it becomes a spiritual ware which is what you have been fighting from the very beginning.  You must fight this war until the very day you die.
