Cultivate Inner Beauty

Poetry By: CalsJoy
Religion and spirituality

We shouldn't focus on our outward appearance, but rather our inner disposition.

People care to much about their figure

It's not about your appearance one bit

Even tho you probably get attention

You don't need to announce it

-

It doesn't matter how you look

Not about the jewelry you wear

What brand of clothes

Or your style of hair

-

When we are attracted to the outside

We tend to reject people who don't fit in

You probably don't realize it, but you do

And that is a sin

-

Money is also an attraction

We go after people who are rich

And when we find out if they are or not

It's like we flip a on and off switch

-

But we need to cultivate inner beauty

We need to be people who are gracious and kind

By honoring people for who they are

Even if those people are blind

-

Let us be the kind of people God delights in

And let's join in on God's side

By treating others the way Jesus would

You know, we are called to be His bride

-

When you keep God first in your life

And in all that you do

His grace and beauty will be seen

And will shine in you
