Hope, Faith and Prayers

Poetry By: CheerUp
Religion and spirituality

I wrote this one when I had reached a difficult time in my life and these were really the only things that kept me sane.

Dear Hope,

Miss me, hate me.

Don't call me back, just let me be.

And I owe you for making me stronger than I ever was, but it's the final exam, and I have to let you go.

My Faith,

You're betrayed, my alibis stand worthless.

But my need for you now is meaningless.

You were my steadiest weapon but my hands need to take the war now. You held me in the deadliest of fights but this last battle needs me. You were always there, waiting to be found, but alas, I face this battle alone anyhow.

To All My Prayers,

Unclasp the hands that bide me out of harm's way,

It is the clock to wave to you a good day.

I build you up inside me, maybe for the ultimate last. I part with you, without any sorrow. My time has come, this is the final struggle. I will do my best but I'll take it alone.

This is my farewell to everything that has kept my feet moving,

The things that stand at the doorway, with looks disapproving.

For making me the soldier I am now,

I will stand high and fight my best.

All for you, as my last goodbye.
