The Twilight Theatre

The crowd applauds at the curtain call,

In that instance lights dim and shadows fall.

The lead obliged as the noise subsides.

Theatre of Twilight commences its ties,

To emotions vast as oceans, in the waves of tense faces,

Art of words it's potion, it's stage a million places.

Throwing back to the old man his innocence, ripping away the pain of time.

Casting outenvy from the row behind, taking them backto memory sublime.

The prop - a mere rose, protrudingthe slabs ofthe berlin wall.

The lead - wielding a sledgehammer, cracking open memories, standing tall.

The crowd's eyes moisten as the act proceeds,

To the sight of a child riddled with disease.

Stepping forth,clasping the agedentrepreneur,

Voice racked with hurt, eyes that implored.

new emotion vast as oceans, in the waves of tense faces,

Art of words her potion, on the stage of a million places.

The spotlights gaze turns to those seasoned married bonds.

Casting black shadows over those who sit beyond.

The people, timeworn, shine silhouettes of dancing youth.

Dancing defying time, whilst harbouring greater truth.

The crowd's hearts slow as the lead withdraws.

The theatre fading asa surelynatures law

Takes hold of the world, sun rising in the east.

The last act played, for the souls of the deceased.

Emotions, once vast as oceans, the tension now subsides,

As the Theatre of Twilight fades to dust, severing worldly ties.
