An old man going around the temple,
Thinking he was practicing Dharma.
Then the yogi Dromtönpa passed by,
Saying: "Practice Dharma, better now."

The old man read the ancient texts,
Thinking he was practicing Dharma.
Dromtönpa saw him anyhow,
Saying: "Practice Dharma, better now."

The old man ceased his ways,
And started to meditate,
To brighten his days.
Dromtönpa came by,
Saying: "Practice Dharma, better now."

The old man was now confused,
His ways utterly used.
"What do you mean great yogi?"

"Renounce this life,
Without strife."
