Words, take me away to a sunny beach, with waves and warm gold sand,
Take me away to anywhere, so I can hold a hand.
Take me away to a summer's day, with birds and humming bees,
Take me away to soft green grass and a gentle scented breeze.
Take me down to the riverside, with mossy rocks and water falling,
Take me to a smooth flat lake, with frogs and fish and songbirds calling.
Take me to a windswept hill, with autumn leaves upon the ground,
Take me to a snow topped mountain, where silence is the only sound.
Take me to an evening, where the stars dance around the moon,
Take me to a morning sunrise, or a rainy afternoon.
Take me to an open field, where I can run and birds fly high,
Take me to a busy city so I can watch the world go by.
Take me to a country church, where music plays and people sing,
Take me away to something, someone, anything.
Take me away to heaven, or away to wonderland,
Words, take me away to anywhere, so I can hold a hand.
