CHRISTMASMEDITIATION
As winter’s night crept in on me
Its blanket to unfold
A crisp and crystal layer fell
Of snow so pure and light
Within the warmth of my small room
Where logs did blaze and spark
I sat so snug upon the rug
While winter winds did wail
The winds they howled, they screamed aloud
The snow fell thick and pure
I slept upon my cozy bed
Tucked up in blankets warm
I heard the angels sing to me
I felt their rays of love
Enveloped in their warm embrace
I never wished to leave
The stars did shine with Christmas light
It seemed I traveled time
Within the stable I did stand
I saw the shepherds come
But night did pass and day did dawn
I left my cozy room
To trudge on through the snow without
To withstand hail and sleet
The day moved on I shared God’s love
His love I freely gave
St Steven’s steps I followed in
I gave without a thought
And now back home the fire burns
I lie upon the rug
My thoughts reflect upon the day
I thank the Lord above
A day has passed another waits
As through life’s journey move
Love will guide my steps each day
His love it lives within
