I was looking at you
Looking at Him
And I could feel
You crying
Not because you were sad
But because you were in love
Athough sometimes
They are one in the same
But you of all people should know that
So I prayed harder
While the lights dimmed
A sad song played in the backgroud
Just like it should
We bowed our heads
And raised our hands
And somewhere inbetween
We lifted our hearts
And let a little something go
We let a little something die a bit
Just enough to get through the weak
Each day is its own battle
So Mary came to comfort you
Just like Joan does for me
Where were you whenthey waited?
You walked in on a couple of strangers
Who weren't really strangers at all
You knew who they were
And I know those strangers
Or at least we thought we did
