Journey inwards

I looked back upon my life
And my memories became
Still pictures that I could recall
like snapshots frame by frame
Each moment felt within my heart
And imprinted on my brain
Remind me of what confines me
To myself I am a slave

Now I find myself in a place that is all my own
I discovered and created this place
A place Defined by weeping willows
And governed by the moon
It is the the place where I was
reintroduced to myself

In this place of introspection
a lake so still
provides the clearest reflection
Of the depth of human emotion
And the beauty of imperfection

Sitting quietly alone
without objection
Skipping rocks across this fluid projection
Within my mind, under divine protection...
i watch the ripples
make the same profound connections...
...And within this moment
I am home

I long for this truth
So irreverently forgotten
taken, forsaken, and misbegotten
Though sin and sadness prevail most often
High hopes remove the veil and soften
The lines that separate us from GOD and...

...Reveal Truth
Of the highest order
Within the ether
and along the border
....of heaven
