They say Poets do not love, Or something like that. But does not a poet become enraptured by Love, sweet like the kiss of dawn. * They say When you write, It doesn’t have to make sense To anyone But you. * They say That once upon a time, God said light And light there was, Serenading the dark. * They say That once, The world was flat, Before one wise man made it Round. * They say To be realistic But also that the human mind Is more powerful than computers, But the human mind exists for The world of dreams And the computer exists For realism. * They say Be silent, Foolish one! Think not Of the slave Aesop Of foxes, lions, camels and false friends Of little men, sheep, snakes and a rose unique in all the world Of love between dragons and humans, Of stars who come to Earth * But I say I believe what makes sense to me, And whom I ought to love, Is something between my Maker and me. * Be silent, Voice of the world! And do not try to control Those who have been given Free will.

Poets do love, yet they see a different world, a brighter shinier world, that only they can escape to. A secret place to get lost in, enraptured, a shining becon, a little hope. Love is incorporated in our words and meaning, nobody has to understand. Who you love is your choice, how to love is your way.

Well done, very wwell done. Poetic in a sad way that lifts a soul and makes it fly

i agree with what nadilyn and lydian said. we think of love in a brighter way than anyone else. it would be a pretty good persuasive essay.
