After all the hustle, bustle and excitement...

After all the hustle, bustle and excitement...
All the preparations... the deed was done!
The choir robes were put away... the guests departed...
We, who were two, wer now officially one...
God had Poured out His Blessings upon our day,
He'd Touched our love with His Own, through His Son!

Now, hand in hand together,
We strolled along the seashore...
Loving and laughing... kissing and touching...
Honeymoon days to explore!
Each day... each minute... an eternity...
To enable each other to discover the other more and more!

Starry nights spent walking...
Still hand in hand...
Silvery ripples lapped our toes...
As we walked on silvery sand.
Would our love go on into eternity,
As complete as our two gold bands?

Then we'd retreat to our own little haven,
Secure and hidden from prying eyes!
Where we could discover deeper treasures...
Our lovemaking never ceased to surprise!
In time we'd drift off into dreamland,
Embracing in sleep until sunrise!

Golden days Touched by God...
Part of His Gift of Creation to us...
The years have flown swiftly...
A mixture of laughter and pain...
Yet... the Honeymoon memories linger on...
Treasures causing those seeds of love to remain!

For no matter what life may have thrown at us...
No matter how eveil tries to rip us apart...
We both know in our hearts... we are soul mates...
Joined by God... and never meant to part!
Not hanging on grimly 'for the children'... or apathy... or stubbornness...
Or perversely as a 'thorn in the side'!

No!  Simply because God in His Love,
Planted Treasures in us that only we can find...
The world doesn't look as He does -
And I'm thankful as can be!
Because The Treasures that He Planted in each of us...
Let us be ourselves... know that we are loved... and set us Free!!!
