I get up in the morning,
filled with anger, or with strife;
then I spend time with my Father
and He starts to smooth my life...

He starts out by reminding me
how unique I truly am,
and that He really loves me,
so I do the best I can.

I try to love my brothers,
and sisters, too, that day
and walk close to my Father,
as He glides along the way.

And soon the day is over,
and I look back wistfully
at how much fun we had,
so filled with bliss were we.

Then I get up in the morning,
filled with anger, or with strife;
I spend time with my Father,
and He starts to smooth my life...
