When this poem first hit my website everyone thought it was about affectionate love, but if you dig a little deeper you will find the true meaning.

Come swiftly love ignite that spark
Which sends your brilliance into the dark.
Fan the flames of the now dead fires
reawaken those dreams and forgotten desires.
Pluck the heartstrings of one and all.
Renew our spirits so that we might recall
all those wondrous feelings we forgot
and win the battles of hate we've fought.
The world has shown its bitter face too long.
instruct and show us what we've done wrong.
Reinforce the tender thoughts we lost along our way.
Bind our hearts with mercy so we won't want to stray.
Come swiftly love the hour does approach
angry words and fear relentlessly encroach.
Bring back caring and abundant kindness
so we might overcome, defeat our blindness.
