Brother coyote trickster, hunter, and teacher of the woods to me.
The snow is blowing and is zero with a wind chill, "why did I even go hunting today," I had to say?
Brother coyote walks up to me so wild and free 15 yards away.
Our eyes meet.
He stares at me and I at him.
Looking inside and sees my soul.
Do I pull the trigger just to kill what others call a nuisance, just to kill?
He has just as much right to hunt if not more than I do to feed himself and any others in his pack.
I nod to him and wave him off.
"Hunt for another day," I whispered.
Why kill just to kill for what he is?
Learning from brother coyote to hunt and kill only for food or protection of a life.
Nature is a teacher that not too many people listen anymore but I do.
