The folly of human fancy
Help me to see
If it’s a mark of intelligence
To question the pre-existence of God
And delve into secrets too deep
For finite intellect
And dig into the mysteries of God
Even to cavil at infinite wisdom
Trying to measure the universe with a yardstick
Doubting everything and believing in nothing
Yet acquiring a Bachelors
In a few years of apostasy a Masters too
And at the peak of rebellion a Doctorate
Till you’ve lost all virtue and dignity of creation
And you’re nothing but merely a Professor
