She doesn't have to be beautiful, the Keishas of this world, but they did catch my eye over the years to write this short poem. I saw a young woman, really girl, in the Chinatown MacDonalds recently and rewrote this censored poem. I hope you enjoy!!

Just Keisha

not black or white

she is just Keisha in her brown faux leather jacket

and jeans

wearing flat tennishshoes

a regular DC Girl

just Keisha

she doesn't have to be beautiful

but she is

she caught my eye and I wrote this poem

Keisha caught my eye

with her quick graceful movement\

no one sees her I think to myself

YO SISTER
