Emerald
My beloved,
The precious jewel of my heart
Soon enough,
The celebration will start
See this engagement band
I have on my hand
Me amour mi Dios
Each moment I spend with you
You say I’m the apple of your eye
That you hear me when I cry
My dearest, I’m not supposed to be with you
And yet you see me through and through
You know the darkest parts of my spirit
And the guilt I have
You immediately kill it
You say to give
My treasures away
But there’s one I’ll keep
Until my wedding day
It’s my emerald
The tradition Jewish wedding stone
I keep my eyes to your face
And wait for you alone
You are my strength and song
Surely you won’t keep us apart
For too long
